Lily-Rose Depp Looks Just Like Her Mom Did at Her Age

The fashion world has been swooning over actress and model Lily-Rose Depp since her career took off in early 2015, but fame surrounded her long before that as the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis. At 17, Depp shares the experience of early recognition with her mother, Paradis, who became a child star at only 14 with her 1988 hit song “Joe le Taxi.” In 1991, she would become a spokesmodel for Chanel—a role which her daughter has since taken on.

But it turns out the two have even more in common than career paths—vintage photos of Paradis reveal that she looked almost EXACTLY like her daughter does today when she first stepped on the scene. Sure, they share blood, but the resemblance is still pretty uncanny, and we’re loving Paradis’s old-school style, too.
