Winnie Harlow Wore the Two-Piece H&M Set You'll Want to Wear 24/7 This Summer
If you ask me, two-piece sets are the ultimate wardrobe staple. Sure, a simple tank or pair of shorts are great on their own, but when you put them together and add a luxe, matching material to the mix, they grow tenfold in desirability. Easy, comfortable, and always on-trend, sets manage to check off every box.
You can imagine my delight, then, when Winnie Harlow showed up to an event earlier this week wearing the perfect rib-knit set for summer. Even better, it was from H&M, our go-to for affordable yet expensive-looking pieces. For the event—a launch party for fashion icon Iris Apfel's just-released collaboration with the brand—the supermodel wore a mock-neck tank with matching nautical-style short shorts. And just as I suspected, she picked the sartorial duo for its effortless qualities.
"Sets, in general, are so easy," Harlow told me ahead of a celebratory luncheon with Apfel in Palm Beach, Florida. "As soon as I saw it, I was like, 'Yeah, I know it's going to look good on me.'" The bare-all nature of the set also stirred excitement in the model. "Showing skin … is the biggest thing for me when it comes to summer dressing," she explained. "I love to show skin. I'm all about being happy in your skin."
Clearly, Harlow's two-piece is a no-brainer addition to my warm-weather wardrobe. Now, all I need to do is manage to get my hands on it. Given how quickly the H&M x Iris Apfel collection sold out in the UK, you won't want to hesitate now that it has arrived in the U.S.
