I'm a Fashion Editor Who's Impossible to Shop For—43 Trendy Gifts on My List
As a fashion editor, a pretty major part of my job this time of year is to decipher which gifts are worth buying and which ones aren't. When it comes to standard gifts (think holiday-scented candles and other knickknacks), doing so isn't such a lofty task. Trendier presents, however (the ones that even your most stylish and trickiest to shop for friends and family members will love) aren't quite so easy to come by.
But after one too many hours spent scouring every retailer, from Nordstrom to Urban Outfitters, for of-the-moment gifts, I can say with absolute certainty that the gift guide ahead will impress even the pickiest people on your list. And that's saying a lot coming from me, a seriously selective shopper. From Hailey Bieber's new favorite Uggs to TikTok-approved accessories like claw clips and candy rings, the 41 presents ahead are at the top of my holiday wish list. And if a choosy shopper like me wants them, your friends are bound to as well.
Cozy and on-trend.
Shop the matching Knit Cashmere Pants ($100).
These blanket scarves are all over TikTok.
You might not have wanted leg candles before today, but now you definitely do.
Usually, buying clothes for other people is a tricky task, but this shearling coat is sure to be a hit.
Wear this as a neck scarf, a headscarf, or simply a shoulder accessory. Hell, you can even wear it as a top if you want to get really creative.
Leather opera gloves were a huge hit on the F/W 21 runways.
These will be a huge hit at this season's forthcoming festivities.
What's trendier than upcycling, and by the queen of sustainable fashion, Collina Strada, no less.
I've seen this faux-leather bucket hat on every feed, from TikTok to Instagram.
These really are just $21—and well worth the price.
