Controversial Opinion: C.C. Babcock Had Better Style Than Fran Fine
What's old is new again. People can't seem to get enough of throwback TV shows, from Friends to Lizzie McGuire. If you ask me, however, one show truly stands out from the pack: The Nanny, which is hosting a virtual cast reunion today. Lately, I've been watching the OG show on Roku's website and couldn't help but notice that C.C. Babcock is a majorly underrated style star. Listen, I know Fran Fine was the "flashy girl from Flushing," but C.C. more than held her own in the style department—just in a totally different way.
While Fran paraded down the stairs in Gaultier minidresses and metallic crop tops, C.C. was always ready for a business meeting in polished pantsuits and sophisticated skirts. She was the Old Céline of the show, if you will. I'll always love Fran, but I simply can't deny C.C.'s power dressing. Scroll down to see five outfits that prove it.
C.C.'s closet was full of pantsuits, but they usually were far from boring thanks to details like puffed shoulders or statement collars.

Whereas Fran perfected the party dress, C.C. was the master of businesswear. This silky button-down shirt accessorized with pearl jewelry was no exception.

Hot outfit tip from C.C.: Grab your favorite maxi dress and throw on a blazer and belt. It's as comfortable as it is chic.

Leave it to C.C. to pull off a three-piece suit. If you don't have the occasion to wear a tuxedo vest these days, try a slouchy jacket over a crop top.

C.C. managed to look totally professional and undeniably stylish in a velvet suit and beaded necklace.

Next, Kate Middleton and Jennifer Aniston love these sunglasses—and now they're on sale.
Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
