Swimsuit trends can be fickle little buggers. Year after year, we watch as the world of swimwear churns out new style after new style, and this summer is no different. Since the weather hasn't quite permitted an influx of bikini pictures on Instagram from your favorite influencers, celebs, and friends, right now is that weird, overwhelming in-between time where you're still struggling to figure out which new swimsuit trend is right for you. Here to help guide you just a smidge are three of my favorite fashion girls, Ali Tate Cutler, Michelle Li, and Anaa Saber.
Each of these stunning women was kind enough to share with all of you the swimsuit trends they are most excited to wear this summer and the ones they are passing on. Featuring an array of fresh new styles and some beloved classics, I have a feeling you'll have a field day with the three swimsuit trends they're fawning over for summer 2021.
Skipping: Strappy Numbers
"One swimsuit trend I'm passing on is the very strappy numbers that offer zero support for big-breasted women like myself. I have tried on quite a few of these, and I honestly don't trust myself to make it into the water without flashing the entire beach. I need support." — Ali Tate Cutler, Model
Wearing: High-Waisted Shorts
"I can't wait to wear the high-waisted shorts as bottoms. I haven't tried any on yet, but they give me massive 'Marilyn Monroe meets Sporty Spice' vibes. And they seem like they will cover my whole bum, which is a definite improvement from a lot of the teeny-weeny bottoms I've tried." — Cutler

Skipping: Barely-There Swimsuits
"This summer, I'm going to pass on the barely-there swimsuit. If there's anything I learned from quarantine, it's that comfort is key, and I refuse to take going to the beach for granted this summer, so I'm going to make sure every trip is comfortable and fun. The barely-there swimsuit trend just doesn't offer a lot of coverage, and I find myself constantly adjusting and worrying about nip slips, etc." — Michelle Li, Fashion Beauty Editor and Stylist, Teen Vogue
