At this point, I add anything new from Summer Fridays to my cart almost immediately. No questions asked. I've already confessed my undying love for the brand's Overtime Mask ($46) and Heavenly Sixteen Face Oil ($55), but today I want to chat about the brand's latest offering—its new SPF. I know, I'm sure you're already overwhelmed by the amount of sunscreen content on the internet telling you which one to buy. It feels like every summer, there are ten million new options to choose from. But let me tell you exactly who this sunscreen is for. If you like being protected from the sun, but dislike slathering on a white, heavy substance in addition to your skincare, then this one is for you.

Summer Fridays is offering a new kind of SPF. One with a milky, serum-like texture that melts into your skin and even gives you a bit of a glow. Intrigued yet? If so, keep scrolling below for all my thoughts on the brand's latest offering. You may just find it's your new summer must-have.

I'll admit that when I first opened this SPF and took a look at the consistency, I was skeptical. It is called Milk Sunscreen, and the formula is true to the name. When you dispense it into your hands, it's a cream color with the texture of a serum. Nevertheless, I slathered it all over my face for the sake of this review. At first, I have to say, my face looked a tad pasty. But after about 10 or so seconds, it started to blend into my skin really nicely and left it feeling hydrated without being overly greasy. This is probably due to the moisturizing squalane in the formula, one of my personal favorite skincare ingredients. This SPF also contains an antioxidant complex that helps protect the skin against free radical damage while it provides sun protection. It does give you a nice glow as well so it's a good option if you're going to be taking photos anywhere.

To really put this SPF through its paces, I also test-drove it with a face full of makeup. I went ahead and put on a skin tint, bronzer, and lip gloss for the day. I actually loved how seamlessly the skin tint glided right on after applying the SPF. Maybe using a sunscreen that also functions like a serum is truly the way to go. Since the formula is so hydrating, it created the perfect base for both my tint and bronzer. My skin felt so supple all day and never got greasy—another win you'll fully understand if you have oily or acne-prone skin.

Overall, it's a nice addition to my SPF collection. I'd most likely use it on a day I'm planning on going for lunch. I definitely wouldn't consider it a heavy duty sunscreen you can wear somewhere like the beach, but it does create a nice dewy, glowy base for your everyday makeup.
