Ashley Graham Just Wore Our Dream Shoes on the Runway
Welcome to Runway Matters, where we're delivering notes straight from the runway so you can quickly digest the most important trends and noteworthy moments from the F/W 18 shows.
When it came to Prabal Gurung's NYFW show, our attention was torn between the star-studded front row and the similarly A-list runway. The former boasted Olivia Palermo, Laverne Cox, and Cardi B and her fiancé, Offset, while the show itself featured supermodels Ashley Graham, Gigi and Bella Hadid, and more.
Graham, for instance, wore a stunning head-to-toe red outfit, including the prettiest bow-bedecked heels we're dying to get our hands on. Ashley, do you mind lending us the shoes once you're done? Read on to see other memorable moments from the show.
The Show Summed Up in Three Looks
In addition to the aforementioned Ashley Graham look, Gigi Hadid's look showed off a genius styling trick: belting your scarf. Another highlight was a beautiful color-block dress that expertly combined an unexpected trio of orange, purple, and electric blue.
The Powerful Moment
A tribute to the #metoo movement, Prabal Gurung had models carry white roses during the show's finale.
The Incredible Front Row
Olivia Palermo looked her usual stylish self in a Prabal Gurung S/S 28 dress with Prada boots, while Laverne Cox channeled the runway in an all-red look of her own. Cardi B and Offset rounded out our favorite front row looks of the day.
Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
