These 3 Cool-Girl Brands Are About to Be Huge

The Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue announced their annual Fashion Fund prize winners last night, and the recipients were three of the coolest new brands around. As explained by CFDA President and CEO Steven Kolb, "Each year, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund identifies the most promising designers who are creative and have great business potential." (The recipients are given a monetary award and mentorship to help grow their young businesses.)

Since its launch in 2003, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund has seen noteworthy designers like Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, and Altuzarra join the growing list of successful winners. This year, the coveted prize was awarded to husband-and-wife team Laura Vassar Brock and Kristopher Brock of Brock Collection (read our Q&A with the designers here). Their elegant yet effortless dresses and tops, special denim, and covetable loafers are already favorites of celebrities like Lily Aldridge, Emma Stone, and Jessica Alba.

Joining Brock Collection are runners-up Adam Selman, the up-and-comer who consistently delivers a playful take on '70s style, and the Gigi Hadid–approved, New Orleans–based sunglasses brand Krewe du Optic. In years past, J.Crew has launched limited-edition capsule collections with the winners and runners-up, so we'll be sure to keep you updated on that.
