Instagram's #1 Home Décor Item and the $89 Dupe That's Just as Good

Now is as good a time as any to quote one of the most memorable lines from Anchorman: "I love lamp." Because once you catch wind of this trend, you're gonna friggin' love a very specific lamp. As soon as I noticed these adorably petite mushroom lamps in the stylish homes of well-dressed Instagram girls, I started seeing them all over my feed.

Most of these are vintage Italian Murano glass lamps from shops like Millefiori, which sells them for around $390. But alas, Urban Outfitters has swooped in and given us the Ansel Table Lamp ($89), a stellar version that is just as good (if not better). Plus, UO's interpretation comes in three different patterns: a beautiful stripe, an ethereal marble, and a cool leopard. Oh, and they also have stellar reviews on Urban Outfitters' website. Scroll down to see how It girls are decorating their apartments with this mushroom lamp and shop the affordable dupes.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
