$33 Billion Later, This Is the Most Valuable Fashion Brand in the World

The number of fashion brands vying for your wallet can be overwhelming, but as it turns out, there is only one that can lay claim to being the most valuable of them all. Forbes just released its newest list of the most valuable companies in the world, and predictably Apple and Google took the number one and two spots, respectively. Moving down the list, Louis Vuitton took the number 15 spot overall, but was the highest-ranking fashion brand on Forbes's list.

According to Forbes, Louis Vuitton is valued at a staggering $33 billion, which marks a 17% increase from last year. The magazine also reports that Louis Vuitton's revenue currently stands at $12.9 billion. Now that's a lot of Speedy bags. The only other fashion brand that made the top 20 was Nike, which is valued at $32 billion. Scroll down to shop our LV picks in honor of the news.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
