New Yorkers Can't Stop Instagramming This One Thing
New York is big in energy but little in dimension, meaning when something happens here, word travels fast. This bustling city is constantly evolving in both architecture, real estate, and (drumroll please) fashion, the Big Apple being where a lot of our favorite sartorial trends have started. While some began out of pure originality, most started out of pure necessity.
New Yorkers have been taking a particular liking to puffer jackets as of late. Is that because it's 30 degrees outside? Probably. But is it also because the puffer jacket is to winter as denim jackets are to all other seasons? Also probably. But we know one thing's for certain: New Yorkers have the best taste when it comes to puffer coats, and they can't stop bragging about it on the 'gram. From mirror selfies to casual street shots, this jacket style is clearly well loved by the NYC locals, and we have a feeling we won't stop seeing these plush pieces on our feeds till spring rolls around.
Ahead, check out some of our favorite puffer jackets looks on the NYC girls who rep them best, plus shop each of their looks.
This might not be the most weatherproof, but it certainly is pretty.
