There are thousands of companies out there, but which ones are truly the cream of the crop? Fortune's list of the World's Most Admired Companies includes the usual suspects in the top three spots: Apple, Amazon, and Google's parent company, Alphabet. So how do fashion brands rank? The highest-ranking fashion company is none other than Nike, which came in at #16 overall.

As for other fashion-related companies, Nordstrom ranked #28, Target nabbed the #38 spot, and Adidas came in at #42. If you're wondering how the list was created, Fortune explains that it asked "executives, directors, and analysts to rate enterprises in their own industry on nine criteria, from investment value and quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent." The result is a list of the companies with stellar reputations that everyone wants to work for and buy products from. In honor of the news, scroll down to shop our Nike picks.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
