Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have been together for over a year, but it wasn't until today that the couple made their first public appearance together. The Suits star and Vanity Fair covergirl showed her support for the royal at his Invictus Games in Toronto—though she sat a few rows away. Despite their physical distance—and the fact that there have been paparazzi shots of the duo at weddings in the Caribbean or bundled up in London—this occasion is the first time that Markle has ever accompanied Prince Harry to an official royal event.

All eyes were on alert for Markle's appearance since Prince Harry arrived in Toronto, the location of this year's games, on Friday morning. As Markle lives in Toronto, many news sources had predicted she would attend. Prince Harry will be in the city through September 30th, so now the question is whether there will be a joint appearance in the near future.
