This Fashion Writer Shares Her Ultimate Wardrobe Tips
As we’ve shared in the past, Louise Roe is an expert when it comes to handy style tips and fashion advice. Last week, luxury handbag line Furla joined forces with Roe to host the Australian launch of her book, Front Roe (we’ve already finished reading—it’s the perfect coffee table book for a quick style hit).
We couldn’t resist squeezing a few more tips out of her while she was visiting Australia. Keep scrolling to read Louise Roe’s party dressing guide and her signature styling trick.
“For a last minute event, every woman should have a black silk dress with a lace hem in her wardrobe. Kind of like a negligee really. I'm obsessed with them at the moment. Worn with a long cream blazer, I love that look for party season.”
“Create a neat centre-part and comb your hair down into a low, tight pony. I like makeup to multi-task as well, so create a copper smoky eye using bronzer. Accessories will always dress up jeans and a white shirt, so I reach for pointy stilettos and a small bag with a chain strap.”
“My signature styling trick is to never over-accessorise. Always try to take one thing off when you're leaving the house. Simple styling is more effective in my opinion—or as my mum says—you are not a Christmas tree! I also start styling my look with the shoe and work upwards. For me, the shoe is the most important part and sets the tone.”
