Street Style Is Taking a Really Different Turn in 2017

Amanda Stavropoulos

It’s almost that time of year again—fashion month! Every six months we look forward to the international show circuit, to see not only what hits the runway, but what people are wearing on the streets. London Men’s Fashion Week in January is the unofficial kick off (for us, anyway), and gives a good indication of what we’ll see when the women’s circuit begins in February. We partnered up with street style photographer Asia Typek to capture the best style on the streets in London (and she’ll be visiting the Paris round of shows for us too, so stay tuned). What did we discover? Street style in 2017 is definitely evolving. Where fashion weeks were once all about dressing up to the nines, today it feels a lot more relaxed. People are embracing more casual pieces like sweatshirts, sneakers, bomber jackets, and T-shirts—and if this sets the tone for the year, we’re excited. Comfort FTW!
