Not over animal print quite yet? Neither are we, which is just fine because the trend isn't going anywhere if we're being honest with ourselves. In fact, we're still spotting (no pun intended) leopard midi skirts all over NYC since it's practically become the foundation of the city girl's uniform at this point. We're talking so popular, that the trend has gone as far as having an Instagram account dedicated to it. In case you needed further convincing to pick one up, NYC's very own fashion girl Laurie Ferraro is still very much into the look herself. Ferraro's style is chic and casual at the same time, which is why we asked her how she's styling her favorite animal-print piece for fall. And as it turns out, her look of choice is both ultra-stylish and ultra-affordable (thank you, Walmart!)…

On her personal style: "Androgynous, effortless, and comfortable."

On the animal-print trend: "My favorite way to wear the trend is a skirt for sure, because it's so versatile, especially when I'm transitioning my wardrobe from summer to fall."

On how living in NYC has changed her style: "I've been here for three years (before that, I was in Sydney, Australia). Living in New York has certainly made me less trend-focused and more into experimentation."

On her go-to pieces for fall: "Boots, midi skirts, and sweaters. It's all about layering!"

On her current favorite boot styles: "I love a combat boot and knee-highs for this season."

On her favorite spots in NYC: "The West Village, Rosemary's, Tavern on the Green, the walk along the Hudson from Financial District to Chelsea, the oat latte from Blue Bottle."

On the best (and worst) part about living in New York: "It's nonstop, so I need pieces in my wardrobe to take me through my never-ending schedule."
