Kate Middleton Wore This Pretty Dress Trend for Charlotte's First Day of School

There are lots of momentous (and well-documented occasions) in the British royal family, but we'd have to say that few are quite as cute as when one of the younger members embarks on their first day of school. In 2017, Prince William took Prince George solo when Kate Middleton was pregnant, but now the whole family (minus Prince Louis) is together this morning for what was Princess Charlotte's very first day of school and Prince George's return at Thomas's Battersea in London.

While the kids looked adorable in their polished school uniforms, we have our eye on Middleton's dress for the occasion. She chose to belt the midi-length dress in shades of pink and red, which touched on one of the year's biggest dress trends with its slightly puffed sleeves. Exaggerated puffs have been the norm among the fashion crowd as of late, but the duchess's subtle take on the trend (via a Michael Michael Kors dress that has now sold out) was perfect for the occasion. She finished the look off with simple black pumps, in true royal fashion.
