Imagine you're working at an ambulance call center during an increasingly rampant pandemic. You're doing incredibly stressful yet undeniably important work. Then the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge walk into your office to offer their personal thanks. That's bound to put a pep in your step, right? Prince William and Kate Middleton did just that at the London Ambulance Centre in Croydon, and we assume the visit offered employees a moment of much-needed relief.
"Catherine and I were proud to visit staff working at NHS 111, to pass on our personal thanks, along with those of my grandmother and father, to staff working around the clock to provide care and advice to those that need it most," Prince William said in a statement. The couple learned that the center is receiving roughly five times the volume of calls right now, so it's a crucial time to support and motivate these essential employees. For the visit, Middleton wore a sophisticated pink pantsuit—a somewhat rare sight considering she usually favors dresses. Scroll down to see photos from the Duke and Duchess and Cambridge's visit.
