Jennifer Lopez Made This "Frumpy" Denim Style Look Wildly Chic

Jennifer Lopez has really been keeping us on our toes when it comes to her choice denim trends lately. Over just the past week, she's been out and about in L.A. in skinny jeans, low-rise jeans, and now a previously "frumpy" style that's gone mainstream among the fashion crowd again: pleated jeans (and this isn't even a first for her).

Pleated jeans are everywhere again, and the coolest denim brands are on board, so consider this important research. As you might've guessed, J.Lo's pleated-jeans outfit isn't anything like the ones you're probably picturing from the late '80s. (In fact, the only time the word "frumpy" should be used in the same sentence as Jennifer Lopez should be to negate it.) This week, Lopez accompanied Ben Affleck to an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in Hollywood wearing the perfect look for winter in L.A. She cinched the pleated jeans with a belt and added a tucked-in sweater, cozy scarf, long blue coat, and sky-high ankle boots.

There are a lot of good things happening with this outfit, but the key here is the tucked-in sweater and luxe accessories. We can't all be J.Lo, but we can follow her pleated-jeans outfit. Now that you're well-informed, scroll to shop our favorite pleated jeans on the market.
