Hold up: Wasn't Jennifer Lopez in Venice like, yesterday? Apparently, the multitalented Lopez also possesses the power of flight—or at least the ability to evade jetlag. Fresh from the red carpets of the Venice Film Festival with her confirmed new beau, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez surprised fans at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn, NY. She skipped the red carpet outside of Barclay's Center, opting instead to appear directly on stage to present the award for Song of the Year to none other than Olivia Rodrigo for the inescapable ballad, "Driver's License."

Styled by Rob and Mariel, a radiant Lopez was clad in a lace-up David Koma look with vegan PVC heels by West Coast–based brand Femme LA. While it's no easy feat for anyone to pull off such a revealing trend, the mirrored, lace-up miniskirt paired with the lace-up corset-style black turtleneck was just the right amount of unexpected for this icon's entrance. After all, the VMAs are the place to go big or go home.

We're guessing that since J.Lo just flew in from Italy, she's probably preparing to make an equally stellar appearance at tomorrow night's Met Gala. This year's theme is In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, which sounds like an invitation for Lopez to do what she does best: Show up in style.
