Instagram Is Here to Further Fuel Your Shopping Addiction
Instagram just launched its shopping feature in Australia, which means that users will now be able to shop directly in the app. That's right, no more "link in bio" or "swipe up" to shop, you'll be able to make purchases without opening a new browser. Released in the U.S. last year, the shopping tool allows local brands to tag products in their posts which can be shopped within the app.
Instagram reports that over 200 million people visit a business profile daily, so the added feature will streamline the process for those who already use the app for shopping purposes. We love the idea, but our credit cards are a little sceptical. It’s no secret that we love using Instagram to discover new brands, so the possibility of shopping them immediately within the app is definitely dangerous territory. This will only make it harder to stick to our monthly clothing budget.
Below, you can find just a few Australian designers whose Instagram grids we hope to start shopping with this new feature, stat. Keep scrolling to see some of the brands we're dying to test this tool on. And don't blame us if Insta-shopping-sprees just become a part of everyday life.
If you're going to be spending more time on Instagram now, why not do it in style. Shop chic phone cases at Farfetch.
