This award season, we’ve covered some of the biggest red carpet style moments from the Golden Globes to the Grammys, and while everyone may be gearing up to watch the Academy Awards on Sunday, our eyes tonight are on the more informal, spontaneous, and freewheeling affair that is the Film Independent Spirit Awards. The award show, now in its 34th year, will be held at the iconic Santa Monica Pier and celebrates the Independent Film community and independence in visual storytelling. Some of this year’s nominee’s include Glenn Close, Carey Mulligan, and Toni Colette to name a few—with a slew of A-listers set to attend.
