Supermodel icon Iman started her career in fashion in the late '70s. In her 40-plus-year career in the industry, she's undoubtedly witnessed it all in terms of trends—the oversize blazers of the '80s, the platform sneakers of the '90s. So how does someone who's lived through the origin of these fashion moments really feel about their current comeback? In short, certain trends are best left in the past.

So which styles should return and which ones should, in short, die? As Iman tells Taraji P. Henson in a recent Harper's Bazaar interview, "Anything from the 1980s shouldn't return"—a response that may come as a shock, seeing as '80s fashion is very much alive and thriving as of late. In particular, Iman noted that shoulder pads simply do not travel well. Do you agree?
