Heading Home for the Holidays? Pack These Essentials

Flight booked? Check. Bags packed? Not so much. If you're like me and tend to be a bit (okay, very) last minute when it comes to your packing, you can probably relate to the struggle of trying to throw together a bag right before your flight, only to realize you've missed some major pieces. This year, I'm flying home to the East Coast, and my relaxed approach to packing just won't do. After all, in L.A. you can afford to miss a clothing item or two, back home, layers are essential to braving the cold weather. 

Holiday travel is stressful enough with putting everything off until this moment, so this year I vowed to prep. Some of my must-have items? Comfortable clothing like leggings and chunky sweaters, practical footwear like winter boots and sneakers, handbags that pull together my outfits and double as carry-on luggage, and of course, a festive outfit or two, for the days I manage to change out of pajamas.
