5 Holiday Fashion Buys All of Our Editors Agree On
As the holidays roll around, new fashion buys tend to fall in line with the season. Typically, pieces are suited for recent temperature drops, so seasonal purchases like boots and cozy sweaters ramp up. But also, the festive season encourages a more is more mentality so it’s the perfect time to wear items that feel a little bit “extra.”
So, how are Who What Wear’s editors embracing the season with their new holiday purchases, and which items are sitting at the top of each of their wish lists? Seeing the pieces each our editors is wearing to the office and snapping on their Instagrams, I’ve boiled them down to five major holiday fashion buys that all of us agree on. From the about-to-explode It bag that we’re all obsessing over to the brand all of us own, scroll down to see each of them. Ahead, I’m breaking each of these down including my edit that you can shop for yourself.
LACE-UP BOOTS
Market editor Nicole Eshaghpour has been wearing her lace-up boots on repeat since "they go with everything." Fashion editor Lauren Eggertsen has also been wearing hers to brave the NYC winter weather.
Patent-leather lace-up booties are perfect for holiday parties on the more casual side.
CRYSTAL EARRINGS
Assistant editor Anna LaPlaca and I showed up to the Who What Wear office wearing crystal earrings—a clear sign that the trend is editor-endorsed.
THE NEW IT BAG
There's a new It bag on the fashion scene from Prada that is about to land in every fashion girl's closet. Managing editor Michelle Scanga noted that it's the "new covetable item to hit the celebrity circuit"—spotted on the arms of everyone from Bella Hadid to Kaia Gerber. I can't think of a better holiday buy.
ANYTHING FROM BY FAR
One of the most loved brands sitting in our closets? By Far. Editor in Chief Kat Collings snapped up the '90s-inspired bag while Michelle bought the mini version. I myself recently ordered these ankle boots and haven't taken them off since they arrived. Editor Allyson Payer also has a similar pair in her closet. They're pieces finished in faux croc feel especially right for the holidays.
CARDIGANS
I recently shared my prediction that cardigans will be a 2019 It piece. Senior news editor Erin Fitzpatrick has adopted them into her own wardrobe. Meanwhile, NYC and French girls are proving just how cool they are.
