How Grace Coddington Brought to Life the Latest Tiffany & Co. Campaign
For her first independent creative role outside of Vogue, Grace Coddington has teamed up with Tiffany & Co. for the creation its latest campaign, with a short film, Some Style Is Legendary, capturing the process.
If you’re unfamiliar with Grace Coddington, she’s arguably one of the most famous stylists in the world, having spent the past 50 years at Vogue creating some of our favourite (and most memorable) fashion editorials.
Giving Coddington creative control always means you’ll be left with something different and unique. Speaking of the A/W 16 campaign, Coddington explained, “Traditionally their pictures were very far away, and on the facing page is a picture up close of the jewellery. I thought it would be nice to get rid of that product shot. I really wanted the jewellery to be on a person so it had a life to it.”
So the legend herself, convinced Tiffany & Co. to change things up (and to use celebrities in the campaign—something else that hasn’t traditionally been the norm). Scroll through to watch the entire documentary, and see Grace Coddington bring the campaign to life.
