There Was Only One Dress Trend on the Golden Globes Red Carpet

It feels like for the 74th Golden Globe Awards everyone looked back at Kate Bosworth’s memorable gown from last year’s red carpet for inspiration. In case you don’t remember, Bosworth turned heads in a heavily embellished pink sequin Dolce & Gabbana dress and since then, the colour has taken the fashion world by storm. In 2016, a certain shade of pink was dubbed “Tumblr pink” and designers all around the world embraced the feminine hue. It was one of the most popular swimsuit shades in Australia last year, and one certain dress continuously sold out on Pixie Market.

Typically, celebrities in the past have steered clear of wearing pink at award ceremonies, out of fear it will clash with the red carpet. But after dissecting this year’s Golden Globes red carpet, it’s clear that pink dresses stood out and celebs threw out the rule book. Everyone from Zoe Saldana to Carrie Underwood embraced the trend, which makes us believe it’s sticking around for 2017. Keep scrolling to peep the best pink dresses that hit the Golden Globes red carpet.
