5 Cool Outfits I Just Wore From Free People

A few weeks ago, I headed to Joshua Tree with Free People, where the brand brought together a group of editors and influencers for a retreat in the desert. The focus of the outing was wellness and mindfulness, with activities like yoga and hiking on the roster, which lined up with one of its exciting new activewear initiatives. Free People recently launched a new workout collection made from Econyl, a 100% regenerated nylon fiber made with discarded waste collected from landfills and oceans. How cool is that? I tested it out with a top-and-legging set, which I can confirm is stylish and comfortable, and it also feels great supporting sustainable fashion.

For the trip, I also packed a suitcase full of outfits from Free People that had been supplied by the brand (but handpicked by me from its new arrivals) to wear during my time there. Joshua Tree had already hit high temps, so I was in full summer mode with a steady stream of dresses, swimwear, and workout gear to slip into during my time there. Ahead, see the Free People outfits I’m wearing, and shop each of them for yourself.

I fell in love with this dress the moment I spotted it. Slipping it on instantly puts you in vacation mode.

Solid & Striped is one of my favorite swimwear designers and this high-waisted bikini in a bold yellow floral is the latest I've added to my collection.

I've been leaning hard into bike shorts right now, whether I'm wearing them with my everyday outfits or for a workout.

Slip dresses are always a staple in my closet, and this one from Free People is one of the most comfortable styles I own.
