World records aren’t really something you hear about these days. The notion of accomplishing something strange that no one has succeeded at doing before doesn’t resonate as much anymore, at least with this editor. However, in a recent editorial meeting, our team somehow got on the subject of world records in the context of fashion, which aroused a strange curiosity to unearth these peculiar feats.

And unearth we did! We took to the web to research style-related world records broken near and far, and what we found was a bizarre and fascinating treasure trove of examples we suspect you'll find equally interesting. Though our list ran pretty long, we narrowed it down to our favorites below.
