As seasons change and temperatures start to drop do you plunge head first into winter dressing or hang on desperately to the final days of summer?

"In my opinion it's a great time of year to experiment with new looks and pieces. I definitely embrace this in-between time, I love to experiment.

The best way to approach transeasonal dressing is with clever fabric switches. No need to just start adding layers or airing out your coats straight away, instead take your normal outfits and give them new life. For example, where you would normally opt for a cotton or silk top, instead choose velvet. Velvet is heavier and certainly warmer, but since its a popular trend at the moment, many brands are working it in new ways. Corduroy is also a fabric of choice on the runways at the moment. This too is a great way to add extra warmth to an outfit. Swap out your pants or jeans for a pair a corduroys in any of this seasons poppy colours, and you instantly have a more transeasonal look," says Pope.
