Congratulations are in order for Emily Weiss and fiancé Will Gaybrick!
Weiss, the 34-year-old millennial beauty mogul and CEO of Glossier, revealed that she and Gaybrick, the 35-year-old CPO of the payment platform Stripe, became engaged last weekend. Weiss shared, "Even during the wildest most uncertain times, there are silver linings."
While the couple chose to keep their happy news under wraps for a few days, the decision to share their joy with Weiss's fans and followers now is a bright spot amid the anxiety and solitude many are facing during the COVID-19 quarantine. "Emily's ring is a classic solitaire with what looks like an engraved band giving it a slightly vintage twist," says Shannon Delany-Ron, Director of Communications at JamesAllen.com. Additionally, the emerald-cut style has definitely become more popular in recent years.
Although wedding plans might not be in the near future for any of us, we do appreciate Weiss's clever nod to a little "something blue" with her manicure—the only obvious cosmetic featured in her makeup-free selfie. Maybe it's a combination of Glossier's excellent skincare products and her genuine happiness, but either way, Weiss is clearly glowing.
