Put on These Swimsuits and Presto: You’re a Bond Girl

The women of James Bond films are just a few of the people we always think of when it comes to timeless swim style. And it seems New York designer Derek Lam is right there with us. For the debut of the first 10 Crosby swim line, Lam tells us his designs are inspired directly by these characters. “The scene where Ursula Andress comes out of the water in Dr. No is iconic to me,” he tells us.

Lam calls his new line “sexy and sporty,” with styles that harken directly to the ‘60s with higher-waisted bikini bottoms and thick halter tops, as well as one-piece suits with lacing down the front and a unique style with a bit of a statement ruffle sleeve. "The whole idea for me was to blur the lines between what is swimwear versus ready-to-wear," Lam says, explaining that his customer is not one to be tied to any one specific plan.

Plus, with the new designs' bold prints and use of bright colors, there are plenty of options to get creative when it comes to your next (and perhaps the first) excuse to finally put on a swimsuit this year. Keep scrolling to shop some of the newest designs.
