6 Australian Brands Carrie Bradshaw Would’ve Loved

As far as fashionable female casts go, Sex And The City established itself as one of the greatest. And now, even 20 years after the show first aired, we're still looking to the characters for inspiration. While you can’t deny that Samantha Jones, Miranda Hobbs and Charlotte York all had excellent style, it’s Carrie Bradshaw’s sartorial choices that have stood the test of time. Sarah Jessica Parker’s character is still a constant source of inspiration (well, at least in the Who What Wear Australia office)—she was basically the pioneer of high-low dressing, mixing everything from Manolo Blahnik’s to vintage tees.

Each week, while ladies (and men) around the world tuned-in to catch up on Carrie and Big’s endless love story, Ms. Bradshaw was pushing style boundaries and setting trends. Does anyone remember the purple Fendi Baguette that was ripped out of her hands by a mugger? Or the black Christian Dior gladiator heels she wore in the first movie? Both became instant sell-outs with huge waiting lists.

So, we got to thinking. If Carrie Bradshaw was still on our screens, would she be wearing Australian designer labels? Definitely. She’d be an online shopping aficionado, and nothing stands between Carrie and great fashion.
