Spring is just around the corner, and that means it's time to reassess our wardrobes. While our style can get a little stale during the cold weather, spring is the time to clean out our closets and make some room for some new key pieces.

Since we're trading in our coats and turtlenecks, what exactly should we start making room for this spring? We asked stylist Cat Pope about the trends she's investing in this season, and it's all about bold colours, eye-catching patterns and unique shapes. After all, this month we're celebrating originality in style, so here's your permission to go all out and experiment.

"When it comes to getting my spring wardrobe together, I get really excited. There's so much more room for experimentation and self-expression in the warmer weather, so each season I try to be a bit more daring. This spring I will definitely invest in some statement pieces. I am really eager to try some new loud and colourful prints from either Halpern or Marques Almeida and will also invest in some bold earrings to keep them feeling young and cool. Unusual colour combos will be my go to look."—Cat Pope

So, there you have it. If there's a colour you've always wanted to wear, or a bold dress you've had your eye on, now is the time to try it out. This spring we encourage you to take a risk and experiment with a unique new piece. Interested in Pope's exact shopping list?
