In case you didn’t know, sale season is in full swing—and I mean full. Whether you’re looking for buy-now-wear-now summer pieces, classic designer bags, and can't-resist Zara markdowns, or you simply love a good deal on anything, there’s something for you. While I fully endorse all of the above causes, today I’m here to draw your attention to a less obvious money-saving opportunity that is right under your nose—and quite practical if you ask me.

Let’s talk about fall. Sure, we just got in the swing of summer, but there’s no denying that the next fashion cycle starts in just two months, and it’s never too early to start preparing—especially when markdowns are involved. Do you see where I’m going with this? Let me put it plainly: Shop for fall trends now while everything is on sale; save money later. Don’t worry about the fact that you’ve hardly figured out dressing for today let alone two months from now, because below I’m breaking down exactly which trends to buy, along with my sale picks for each one. Just keep scrolling to get started, my friend.

Pistachio, Please

Whether you go head-to-toe pistachio or throw in a single piece here and there, if there's one color trend you get behind for fall, this should be it

Big Baggage

As much as this mini bag devotee hates to admit it, there is no denying that, according to the runways, bags are getting bigger—which means that soon, we'll all be following suit.

Go Get Em, Tiger

While everyone still seems to be riding the wave of all things animal print, if you want to feel particularly fresh in your interpretation of the trend, zebra is the way to go for F/W 19.

High Shine

Shiny lamé (and lamé-looking) pieces were on more runways than we can count, which is why we suggest snagging some now and wearing them through the holidays and beyond.

Crystal Kicks

My personal favorite accessory trend of the upcoming season is crystal-embellished shoes, and it’s not just because I already own a few pairs. One look at the below and I think you’ll be on board, too.

Editor-at-Large

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2020, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch 90 Day Fiancé.
