What Being a Woman in 2018 Means to Me, By Elle Ferguson

In anticipation of International Women’s Day on March 8, we’re dedicating this month to celebrating unapologetic women. By standing up for what she believes in without fear, our ideal “unapologetic woman” makes a difference in her life and the lives of those around her.

Thankfully, there’s no shortage of wonderful women who are changing our world. Just take a look around you, and we’re sure you’ll find that you know many unapologetic women whether they’re your friends, family, or colleagues.

One such woman who’s having an impact on us recently is Elle Ferguson—and her latest business endeavour, Elle Effect, is just one reason. As an influencer and entrepreneur, there’s no question whether Ferguson is hard working woman. Just take a look at what her average morning and it’s obvious that she doesn't waste a minute of the day.

It’s not just us who is inspired by Ferguson and her go-getter ways. After all, you don’t get over 600 thousand Instagram followers by doing nothing. Ferguson is definitely an unapologetic woman, so we had to know… what does being a woman mean to her? Keep reading to see the interview below.

What does being a woman mean to you?

Being a woman means I can be anything I want to be. No dream is to big... I am the master of my own destiny.

What’s one thing you wish more women gave themselves credit for?

Being capable. Women are such amazing humans and I really believe we don't take the time to give ourselves the credit for being so capable.

What changes do you hope to see towards women’s rights for 2018?

I'd love to see another woman president take the spotlight. I'd also like to see more women in positions of power. Our time is now.

What’s the one mantra you’re telling yourself this year?

Have courage and be kind. And also listen!
