9 Affordable Brands I Always Wear to the Airport

With all the planning, preparation, and packing that goes along with traveling, I often wish that I didn't care what I wore to the airport, but I do, and truth be told, that's oftentimes the travel outfit that I put the most thought into. I need clothes that are going to be comfortable, keep me covered up, look cool, and are versatile enough to wear when I arrive at my destination. As you can see, this is no small feat.

Over the years, after much trial and error, I've found that I always gravitate toward nine brands, in particular, when choosing my airport outfits, and all of them happen to be affordable. I believe that I've found the most comfortable jeans, polished flats, and chicest sweats and leggings for travel. Curious? Keep reading to find out why these affordable brands are so perfect for travel and to shop my picks for each.

Everlane

Given the high quality of Everlane's pieces, I consider them to be especially affordable. I particularly love wearing the brand's cashmere sweaters and loafers to the airport.

Mother

I usually wear jeans to the airport, and nine times out of 10, they're Mother jeans. Every pair I've tried has just enough stretch to hold their shape while being wildly comfortable.

Reformation

Reformation is so much more than just pretty dresses. I'm equally obsessed with its pants and jeans, sweaters, and outerwear.

Lou & Grey

Lou & Grey is my go-to brand for those especially long flights, as it stocks tons of pieces that are comfortable enough to sleep in yet stylish enough to dine out in.

Levi's

It's rare that I don't travel with my Levi's denim jacket. 1) Planes are always cold. 2) They're machine washable, so I don't have to worry about getting my outerwear dry-cleaned post-flight.

Re/Done

Re/Done T-shirts are the softest, coolest tees I've yet to try (and I've tried a lot). I frequently wear one under my Levi's denim jacket for travel days.

Madewell

We all know that Madewell makes cute clothes. But they're also durable and comfortable, which means they pass my airport test with flying colors.

Alo

I don't wear leggings (or any other activewear) to the airport that often, but when I do, they're pretty much always by Alo, as the brand has tons of on-trend, flattering styles. I usually pair them with a cool jacket so that I don't look like I just walked out of Pilates.

Champion

Champion is where I often turn when I want to wear a hoodie or tee that will make my jeans and flats or sneakers significantly cooler.
