Every Item I'm Packing for My End-of-Summer Getaway Is Under $30
Sponsor Content Created With Walmart
Sorry, y’all: I actually do make the rules, and I’ve decided that summer isn’t officially over till we all take one more last-minute weekend getaway. I don’t care where you go or what you do (personally, I’m thinking about driving up the coast to Big Sur or maybe hopping a boat to Catalina); all I want is for you to hit the road, soak up some sun, and look incredibly stylish doing so.
That’s where No Boundaries comes in. Packed with retro-cool basics, on-trend boilersuits, and fun printed swimsuits, the Walmart line’s got way more cute looks on offer than I can squeeze into a weekend trip. Best of all, every single item on my packing list below rings in at under $30, meaning I can also afford to pick up a few kitschy souvenirs along the way. Time to start making a new playlist…
A black belted jumpsuit is effortless with sneakers during the day, plus it can be your go-to outfit just in case you end up going somewhere semi-nice for dinner (just add your favorite strappy, flat square-toe sandals).
Because you probably need a new weekender, and this one is sure to go with any outfit in your vacation arsenal.
As for what to pair said T-shirts with? Look no further than this super-retro-feeling pinafore. Also available in leopard print (in case that’s more your summer style speed). Three magic words: It’s got pockets.
Excellent with sneakers, and because dark florals are a major thing for fall, you can expect to get even more wear out of this one (just layer in tights and a long-sleeve tee or cute cardigan).
Plenty of retro appeal here, no? Just add wide-leg raw-hem jeans and a pair of slides.
This cute square-neck baby tee looked like it walked out of a dELiA*s catalog circa 1999, and it’s about to look great in your 2019 IG feed.
Because every vacation wardrobe needs a cheery cherry-hued purse, no? You can’t go wrong with a crossbody.
The whole ’70s-by-way-of-the-’90s thing? I’m into it. (Siri, play The Smashing Pumpkins.)
Speaking of which, one-piece swimwear that pairs well with denim is definitely on my list. PS: Who ever said leopard prints have to be neutral?
What’s an end-of-summer road trip without a fanny pack? We call these chicer, sleeker iterations "belt bags” these days, but the sartorial sentiment remains the same.
Because it’s bound to be hot in [insert national park of choice]. Take it from me and my last trip down to Joshua Tree: You’re also gonna wanna bring extra sunscreen.
Pair with a vintage band tee and hit up the closest old-school 24-hour diner, maybe?
Have I convinced you that you need a jumpsuit yet? This one’s just begging for a cute IG moment against a desert sunset.
