Yeojin Bae Reveals Why This 9-Year-Old Collection Is Still Relevant Today
This year marks Yeojin Bae’s 10th anniversary—and we’re marking this very special milestone with a look back at one of the label’s most defining collections. 2007 was a big year for Yeojin Bae. The designer was awarded the LMFF Designer Award presented by Tiffany and Co., and created a capsule collection for Target Australia—not bad for a label that was only a year old.
To celebrate 10 very successful years, we asked Yeojin Bae which collection always stands out in her mind. Her response? Winter 2007. It illustrates where the collection we’re about to see at Fashion Week Australia circles back to—and best of all, the look book stars a baby-faced Catherine McNeil, one of Australia’s biggest modelling exports.

"This new collection, Contemplation, features notes from my signature style—I love simplistic elegance, unadorned surfaces. These characteristics represent my approach and aesthetic which is what I’ve sought inspiration from for a decade now."—Yeojin Bae
