The Biggest Dress Trends to Know This New Year's Eve
It might seem a bit crazy to start planning an outfit you aren't going to wear for about seven weeks, but with so many things to organise in such a short amount of time (like Christmas presents, fashion resolutions), it pays to be organised.
New Year's Eve is not only a chance to celebrate the year that's passed, as well as the year ahead, but I like to see it as a way to experiment with style. I normally play it really safe—a white slip dress, a black jumpsuit, or jeans and a tee is what I've opted for in recent memory. This year, I'm going to be 'wild' and go for a more festive fabric. Velvet is my pick, and I'll be keeping the typically-heavy wintery fabric cool by adding just a pair of flat sandals (so chic it hurts).
