NYC Vintage—3 Stores You Don't Want to Miss

Kristen Nichols

Great vintage stores can sometimes be hard to come across. Oftentimes, the best ones are hidden in back alleys with unmarked entrances or are carefully guarded secrets among the fashion set. But when you find that perfect pair of worn-in Levi’s or a Rolling Stones band tee, the hunt always feels worth it.

To find out which NYC vintage stores are actually worth visiting, we enlisted the advice of creative consultant and stylist Rachael Wang. Since her closet is brimming with cool vintage pieces, her expert advice is worth following. Ahead, Wang is sharing the very best in NYC vintage stores, including spots to find Chanel bags, vintage military gear, and coloured cowboy boots.

Keep reading to find out stylist Rachael Wang’s three favourite vintage stores in NYC and why she visits each one. Then, shop for vintage-inspired denim from Re/Done, Levi’s, Brock, and more.

What Goes Around Comes Around

What Goes Around Comes Around in SoHo is a two-room boutique with one side focusing on men's (really unisex) and the other on women's. It's great for vintage Chanel bags and designer gems, plus it has my favourite selection of vintage tees, denim, and leather belts.

10 Ft Single

10 Ft Single in Williamsburg is my favourite store for finding a bargain. It's stuffed to the gills, but everything is neatly organised by category, and you can find everything from the perfect sundress to '80s windbreakers or coloured cowboy boots, all for really reasonable prices.

Front General Store

Front General Store in DUMBO is a very curated experience and has the most amazing vintage military and Americana.
