Exclusive: Shop P.E Nation's Brand New Swim Line
Activewear and lifestyle label P.E Nation only launched in March this year, and already it has gone from strength to strength. Following a successful presentation at Fashion Week Australia, the label was picked up by a huge range of international stockists including Shopbop, My Theresa, and Revolve. Since then, Sydney girls have been obsessed with getting their hands on a piece of P.E Nation (in fact, even Kylie Jenner has been spotted in the label).
Today, the it adds another category to its offering by launching swim. The collection includes three pieces—one bikini, a one piece, and a paddle suit, and they’re exactly what we’d hoped for—bold, bright, and sexy. We’re counting down the days until it is beach weather, but until then, keep scrolling to read our exclusive interview with the brand’s co-founders, Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning, and don’t forget to visit P.E Nation later today to shop the new collection when it launches.
Who What Wear Australia: What are your favourite swimsuit styles this season?
Claire Tregoning: I love our Shake Down One Piece!
Pip Edwards: I’m usually a fan of the one piece, but this season I’m into the paddle suit. With my focus being on fitness and embracing all kinds of sport this summer, I’ll definitely be wearing our P.E Nation G Force Wetsuit paddle boarding.
WWW: Which workout routines do you find most effective in prepping for swimsuit season?
CT: Pilates! It gets you lean and toned without bulking up
PE: Soft sand running for me. It's great cardio, but also awesome core work. It's really an all-rounder exercise and the best kind of outdoor action there is—training on the beach!
WWW: Which swim bottom cut makes your butt look best?
CT: Our paddle suit. The lightweight wetsuit material keeps everything tight while giving your butt a lift.
PE: I personally prefer a fuller brief, as the skimpier trend doesn't suit my bottom nor my age! Haha! But a bottom that sits flush to your skin and doesn't cut in is always going to look best. Our Ace Bikini fits in all the right places.
WWW: Which suit do you think is the most universally flattering from the new collection?
CT: The Shake Down One Piece, as it covers your stomach as well as giving you great cleavage.
PE: I think all three P.E Nation styles serve their purpose and they are all super flattering—they play to the cleavage, have awesome design lines, sexy backs and detailing, and they have their own colour palettes that are super fresh for summer.
WWW: What do you predict will be the best-selling suit of the season?
CT: It’s so hard to choose but I think the bikini—Australians love a bikini. Or the one piece.
PE: The one piece hands down. I really think this swimsuit will be great on the beach, but just as good worn back with denim and heels for an after-hours, fresh summer look.
