Met Gala news: The Verge got a sneak peek at The Costume Institute's new exhibition, which will be the focus of the upcoming Met Gala in May. Dubbed "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology," the exhibition features some of fashion's most futuristic getups. The website also points out how this year's celebration will be different: "Apple is the Institute’s partner in [the] project, making this more of a tech event than any gala before it." The partnership is also important for Apple, as it's a huge leap into the fashion realm for the tech giant. So will Apple's efforts pay off with the style crowd? Only time will tell. [The Verge
