The New Mansur Gavriel Bags and Shoes Are Bound to Sell Out

Mary Peffer

As if we weren’t already obsessed with Mansur Gavriel’s bags and exclusive mules for Net-a-Porter, the New York-based designer duo’s A/W 16 presentation today is one more season that’s sure to give us shopping anxiety the moment it hits stores. A palette of primary colours complimented an offering of pastels in the most highly anticipated shoe and bag event during NYFW.

Backstage our editorial director caught up with designer Rachel Mansur, who shared a little insight behind the development of this season which includes, wait for it, a mule pump! We learned the brand's process for selecting the colour palette season to season is not that different than the way we shop for our wardrobe. Rachel said, “It’s very emotional and subjective” adding “We make things that we would like to wear.”

Another major call out from the show? A new interpretation of the top handle lady bag in both suede and patent. Which, as Rachel told us, was created because they “Wanted a very easy and classic bag.”
