Kendall Jenner and Marc Jacobs Are Helping to Find the Next It Brand

Kendall Jenner is going from top model to top fashion talent scout, and she is ready to find the next great fashion designer.

Jenner is on the panel of experts for this year's LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers. She sits alongside Karlie Kloss, Pat McGrath, Patrick Demarchelier, and a plethora of magazine editors who chose the finalists for the award.

Make no mistake, this competition is a huge deal for young designers. The grand prize for the LVMH competition is $325,000 (USD), plus it comes with a year of mentoring from the experts at LVMH, the parent company of brands like Louis Vuitton and Givenchy.

The 2017 finalists that Jenner (and the rest of the panel) chose were announced today. They are Ambush, Atlein, Cecilie Bahnsen, Jahnkoy, Kozaburo, Marine Serre, Molly Goddard, and Nabil Nayal. A jury of internationally renowned designers, including Marc Jacobs and Karl Lagerfeld, will choose the winner in June, and they will be in great company. Previous recipients of the same award include Hood by Air (2014) and Vejas (2016). How's that for high stakes?
