Karlie Kloss Treated Election Day Like It Was Her Runway
It’s finally Election Day! It feels like this moment has been coming for a long time (because it has), and even though we’re all the way in Australia, we can feel the excitement/trepidation/energy coming from our American sisters. Our U.S. team has been encouraging its readers to vote, and it’s great to see so many celebs out and about and voting (like Olivia Wilde and Taylor Swift). While this day is about so much more than the clothes, we can’t help but be just a little bit intrigued by the sartorial choices of those politically minded (if you haven’t yet, take a look back at Hillary Clinton’s best street style moments—it’s an amazing fashion flashback).
Karlie Kloss stepped out in New York City earlier today to cast her vote, and opted to wear a letterman jacket, black turtleneck top, white pants, and comfy sneakers. While the top half of her look isn’t quite right for the Australian summer, we’re feeling inspired by her choice of pants. The white flare suddenly feels fresh, and when paired with sneakers, dresses the look down for day. We’ll be copying ASAP, but swapping in a relaxed tee or silk cami.
