Isla Fisher Chose an Australian Designer for her Return to Our Red Carpet

Amanda Stavropoulos

As far as Australian red carpets go, they're few and far between, but when they happen, they're good. Last month saw the Aria Awards (Australia's biggest night in music), and last night, the acting community came together for the 6th Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AKA: The AACTAs). Rose Byrne, Jessica Mauboy, Melina Vidler, and Isla Fisher, are just some of the stars who hit the red carpet.

Isla Fisher—easily one of Australia's biggest acting exports, chose a local designer, Alex Perry, for her red carpet moment. It's been a long time since we've seen Fisher on Aussie shores, so it was exciting to see her support local fashion.

Fisher's long black embellished dress hit all the right notes, with a sporty neckline, long side split and train.
