The Household Product You Should Never Use to Clean Your Sunglasses
Every girl needs a good pair of sunglasses. Whether your favorites are cat eyes or aviators, they’re that one essential part of your summer accessories lineup. As such, they need to be properly cared for to ensure they stay a part of that lineup for as long as possible. You might be shocked to know that most people’s go-to cleaning method can actually be a major no-no.
According to the writers over at Racked, you should never use any sort of glass cleaner, including Windex. The same thing goes for any products that contain bleach or ammonia, they said. Such products can strip the coating off the lenses. It makes sense, now that we think about it! Instead, simply rinse your lenses in warm (not hot) water with a gentle soap, and carefully dry. Voilà! Your shades are good as new to carry you through the end of the summer season.
