H&M's Latest Collection Is Going Straight From Paris to Your Wardrobe
Get ready, because H&M’s S/S 2018 collection will be available for purchase in select Australian shops after the brand’s Paris Fashion Week show, from March 1 onward. Bringing back the “see now, buy now” format that the brand debuted last year, H&M is giving a new meaning to fast fashion. Last year, a number of items sold out almost immediately, so if you want to get in on this season’s collection you need to act fast. And trust us, once you see the collection, you’ll want to.
Featuring bold prints and bright colours, H&M’s S/S 18 collection is made up of free-flowing garments inspired by miminalistic Japanese design. The combination of the vibrant colours we’ve been seeing all season with the relaxed silhouettes of the pieces works so well; not to mention, the entire line looks super-comfortable, which is always a plus in our books.
Not only is H&M’s new line inspired by Japan, but the brand is also sponsoring an exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, where the presentation is being held. Aligning with the collection’s theme, the exhibit will focus on Japanese design. Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s design director shares: “ We’re also very happy to be sponsoring the exhibition, which no doubt will delve into the beauty and design sensibility of Japan.” We’re not sure about you, but a trip to H&M is definitely in our near future.
