This Study Outlines the Best Places to Work; Only One Fashion Brand Made the Cut
Each year, Glassdoor outlines the best places to work in the U.S., and of the 50 that were included in 2016’s results for large companies, only one is a fashion brand. Specifically, it’s a brand that contributed to this year’s ubiquitous athleisure trend: Lululemon.
According to Glassdoor, the site that posts job openings in addition to allowing employees to rate and review their current or past places of work, the winners of each year’s survey are “based entirely on employee feedback.” Though the current list is packed with consulting, real estate, and technology companies as well as Google, Facebook, and Airbnb, the athletic clothing brand ranked at number 38. Furthermore, CEO Laurent Potdevin, who’s held his position at Lululemon for two years, received a 90% approval rating; the company overall earned an 80% recommendation rate.
While comparing a fashion business to, say, Delta Airlines (coming in at 21) is not the most obvious of pairings, it’s still quite an honour for the brand that helped propel the trend of everyday leggings.
